John Romani, MBA is the Program Manager for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program which provides free tax preparation services to low and moderate income tax payers. Prior to joining the United Way, he was a manager for Jackson Hewitt where he led a team of tax preparers that were able to achieve substantial year-over-year growth while maintaining a Google rating of 4.5 out of 5. He had previously worked for Arthur Lander, CPA, JD preparing complex tax filings.
John has extensive Human Resources experience gained while working for ABM, Inc, the largest facilities management company in the country. He was responsible for local recruitment, hiring, benefits administration, conducting disciplinary actions, training managers, and labor relations.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia where he was elected into the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same university with a concentration in Managerial Accounting.
